New In Patient Block
On 1 May, Nasir Hospital officially inaugurated Dr Ahsanullah Zafar Inpatient block in a warm ceremony attended by hospital leadership, staff and community partners.
With the goal of expanding access to quality and affordable care, the new facility is purpose-built to serve more patients in a comfortable, healing environment. Equipped with modern amenities, upgraded infrastructure and a compassionate team, the expansion underscores Nasir Hospital’s ongoing commitment to deliver excellence in healthcare.
Key Features of the New Inpatient Block
Increased capacity: the new block significantly raises the number of beds available for inpatient care and allows for smoother patient flow and shorter wait times.
Dedicated specialised units: newly configured wards include private and semi-private rooms, upgraded nursing stations and units for intensive monitoring and recovery.
Advanced infrastructure: the facility is outfitted with modern patient-comfort features – including en-suite washrooms in private rooms, improved ventilation and natural-light design and technical enhancements such as nurse-call systems and up-to-date monitoring equipment.
Patient-centred design: halls and common areas are designed for accessibility, family-friendly visiting spaces and a quieter healing atmosphere; staff-workspaces are optimised for efficiency and coordination of care.
Community focus: by expanding inpatient capacity and upgrading amenities, Nasir Hospital is raising the standard of care for the region, offering patients and families a dignified and safe environment for treatment and recovery.
This milestone is more than the opening of a new building – it represents a renewed promise to the community that more patients will be cared for in a setting crafted for dignity, safety and recovery. The hospital looks forward to the positive impact this expansion will bring to patients, families and the wider region in the years ahead.
