Tanzania Eye Hospital
In Tanzania, thousands are losing their sight along with their independence and dignity, often due to conditions that are entirely preventable. Cataracts, refractive errors, and untreated infections continue to blind children and adults simply because basic eye care is out of reach. In many rural areas, there is no access to screenings, glasses, or surgical services.
The Tanzania Eye Center will change this. With an investment of USD 1.3 million, the Center will offer comprehensive eye care including vision screenings, an optical workshop for corrective glasses, and life-restoring cataract surgeries. Outreach teams will reach remote villages and schools where children and elders currently have no access to eye specialists.
Each restored vision is a life restored. A child can return to school. A parent can care for their family. An elder can regain independence and hope.
This Center is a long-term investment in dignity, health, and human potential. Everyone deserves the gift of sight, and this project brings that within reach for the communities who need it most.
